As a Levi fangirl, I had to restrain myself from bouncing up and down my bed at five in the morning when I got wind of this from io9: there’s an upcoming 2-part OVA series titled Attack on Titan: No Regrets (Shingeki no Kyojin Gaiden: Kuinaki Sentaku) that will be basically a Levi origin story.
(In case you’re not familiar with anime terms, OVA is short for Original Video Animation. They’re anime released straight to DVD, without airing first in the theater or television.)
Levi is a character from the manga Shingeki no Kyojin (lit. “advancing titans”) (English title: “Attack on Titan”), quite possibly our current favorite Japanese post-apocalyptic YA-slash-coming-of-age-slash-zombie story. Nicknamed “Humanity’s Strongest Soldier”, he’s probably the most popular character in that series (sorry, Eren!). Which seems odd at first — he’s short, he’s rude to everyone, and he beats up Eren in their first meeting. And he’s a notorious clean freak. I can only assume he just appeals to our weird tsundere fetish. (The fact that in the anime he has a ridiculously hot voice may also something to do with it.)
Apparently season 2 of the anime has been delayed a year or so to allow the original manga series to advance a bit so the anime doesn’t run out of story, so this OVA will keep us happy till season 2 OR the upcoming already-cast live-action film adaptation is released. (My bb Miura Haruma is reportedly taking up the role of Eren.)

The first part will be released December 9, 2014, and the second in April 2015.
